Five elements yin yoga training & immersion retreat

We don't just learn the elements. we live them.

A retreat-style Yin Yoga immersion in the mountains of Spain for yoga teachers, wellness practitioners and dedicated students wishing to deepen their understanding of the subtle energy body, Taoist philosophy and the movement of Qi.

Whether you are looking to expand your professional offerings and deepen your personal practice. This immersive experience offers a unique journey into the wisdom of the Five Elements.

Unlike traditional training that focuses primarily on theory, this experience integrates education, embodiment and nature, allowing you to experience the teachings directly through practice.

Because the most meaningful learning comes through lived experience.

Is this training for you?

This training is ideal for:

  • Yoga teachers wishing to expand their teaching through Yin Yoga and Five Element Theory.
  • Wellness practitioners, therapists, coaches and practitioners who are curious about the relationship between emotions, energy, nature and wellbeing.
  • Dedicated Yin Yoga practitioners with an established personal practice
  • Those seeking a more embodied understanding of health, balance and personal growth through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy.

Whether you feel called to teach, integrate these teachings into your work, or explore them for personal growth, this training offers a powerful journey into embodied learning.

Accredited certification is available for eligible yoga teachers. Non-teachers are warmly welcomed to attend as part of their personal or professional development journey.

The experience

What makes this training different?

We don't simply study the Five Elements. We embody them.

Each day is devoted to one element, exploring its associated organs, emotions, meridians, season and energetic qualities through:

  • Daily Yin Yoga practice, meditation & breath work
  • Qi Gong
  • Mountain walks and nature connection
  • Five Element Theory & Meridian exploration
  • Posture labs and sequencing exploration
  • Reflection and journalling
  • Supported teaching practice and authentic expression

You'll leave not only with knowledge, but with a felt understanding of how these energies move through the body, influence emotions and shape the human experience.

The power of the mountains

The mountains become one of our greatest teachers throughout the week.

In Taoist philosophy, mountains embody powerful Yang energy whilst simultaneously offering a profound sense of grounding and stability.

Through guided mountain walks and outdoor teachings, we experience the elements directly within nature rather than simply learning about them intellectually.

The body begins to understand what the mind alone cannot.

Food as part of the practice

The learning doesn't stop when class ends.

Each day we enjoy three nourishing elemental meals prepared by our incredible chef Jessica, who carefully sources local ecological produce and creates dishes inspired by the colours, flavours and qualities of each element.

Food becomes another way of embodying the teachings.

We don't simply learn the elements.

We taste them, feel them and live them.

The learning

Understanding energy, emotions & the human experience

Whilst accredited for yoga teachers, this training is not solely about becoming a Yin Yoga teacher.

The Five Elements offer a powerful framework for understanding ourselves and others through the lens of energy, emotion and nature.

Together we'll explore how emotions influence the movement of Qi, how energetic imbalances may manifest within the body and mind, and how Yin Yoga can support greater awareness, balance and wellbeing.

For teachers and practitioners, these teachings can deepen your ability to hold space and support others with greater confidence and understanding.

For those attending for personal development, they offer a rich opportunity for self-discovery, reflection and embodied learning.

Teaching practice

Towards the end of the week, you'll have the opportunity to guide a short elemental Yin practice. This is not an assessment.

It is a supportive opportunity to integrate the teachings, explore the language of the Five Elements and begin finding your own authentic voice within this work.

Your home

Casa Confianza:
House Of Trust

Since moving these trainings to Spain and allowing the experience to become far more immersive, I've realised just how important the role of the host truly is.
A great host helps create the feeling of safety, trust and support that allows people to fully soften into the experience.

Our home for the week is Casa Confianza — beautifully translated as "House of Trust" — a warm and characterful mountain home where simplicity, nature and genuine connection take centre stage.

Held lovingly by Ramona, whose presence has become an integral part of the experience, Casa Confianza provides the perfect environment for rest, reflection, learning and transformation.

When we are facilitating deep emotional, energetic and personal work, the environment and the people holding it matter deeply. Working with Ramona and sharing this space feels incredibly aligned and allows every participant to feel supported, cared for and truly at home.

Testimonials

Hear it from our students

This retreat was a beautiful journey into the wisdom of Yin Yoga and the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each day brought new layers of understanding—not only of the practice, but of myself. It was a perfect blend of learning, stillness, and connection.

The setting was pure magic: an off-grid sanctuary nestled in the Spanish mountains, with breathtaking views and a sense of deep peace. Every meal was healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully connected to each day's element.

Verity held space with wisdom and authenticity, creating a nurturing environment where everyone felt seen and supported. I left with a full heart, a calmer mind, and a renewed sense of balance—grateful for such a transformative and soulfulretreat.

Verity is an exceptional teacher who teaches from the heart and has an incredible depth of knowledge to share. I especially loved the modular structure of the training, which allowed us to explore each element in depth and develop a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga and its principles.

I would highly recommend this training to anyone wanting to take a deep dive into Yin Yoga and the elements. It was an inspiring, enriching, and transformative experience that I will carry with me for years to come.

One of the most life-changing and magical experiences of my life. I left feeling reborn, renewed, and deeply connected to myself.

The perfect setting to reset, heal, and come home to yourself. Verity’s gentle, intuitive teaching created a truly safe and inspiring space.

Taught with wisdom, compassion, and deep love, I cannot recommend this course highly enough. Whether you want to teach or simply transform your life, this is it. The journey doesn't end when you come home—it continues to unfold long after the retreat is over.

Embodying and living the elements in turn, and being able to have lived experience of that to then identify, understand and work with in others.

On reflection, I found it fascinating how attuned I felt to the emotional landscape of each element, often before I had actually read or studied the associated material.

More than anything, I think this experience will make me a better teacher and practitioner. The most meaningful teaching comes from lived experience, and this training gave me the opportunity to explore the material personally before sharing it with others.
